At Pilates on the Avenue, we teach Classical Pilatesโthe original method developed by Joseph Pilates himself on classical equipment from Gratz, the original manufacturer of Josephโs equipment, and the Balanced Body Contrology classical line. We honour the traditional exercises that have been proven effective for over a century.

Pilates and Us
At Pilates on the Avenue, we are dedicated to helping you experience the transformative power of the Pilates method. Created by Joseph Pilates, this innovative exercise system combines both mat work and specialized equipment to build strength, flexibility, and a deep mind-body connection. Pilates crafted his method to be accessible to everyone, whether at home or in his studio with the equipment he designed specifically for it.
After Joseph Pilates’ passing in 1967, his method almost faded into history. But thanks to the passionate devotees who experienced its life-changing benefits, Pilates’ work was preserved and continues to inspire people around the world today. Now, itโs our turn to share this incredible legacy with you.

Why Pilates?
Pilates is much more than just a way to build strengthโitโs a way to connect with your body, release stress, and improve how you move in everyday life. Whether youโre here to improve athletic performance, unwind after a busy day, or simply enjoy the community, we offer classes for every goal and fitness level.
At Pilates on the Avenue, we believe in creating a supportive, welcoming environment where everyone can thrive. Our classes are designed to meet your individual needs, and our expert instructors are here to guide you every step of the way.
Our Studio and Equipment
Weโre proud to offer a fully equipped Pilates studio, featuring the legendary Pilates apparatus that is beloved by professionals and celebrities alike. Youโve likely heard of the Reformerโa piece of equipment thatโs frequently praised in the media for its versatility and effectiveness. But Pilates’ genius extends far beyond the Reformer. Each piece of equipment we use is designed to target specific areas of your body, helping you build strength, improve flexibility, and achieve your fitness goals.
Hereโs how our equipment can benefit you:
- Reformers: Perfect for improving balance and overall strength, while offering a low-impact workout that engages your entire body.
- Cadillac: Ideal for building core stability and increasing flexibility, using springs and support to challenge your body in new ways.
- Chairs: Designed to strengthen your legs and hip flexors, with a focus on developing functional strength.
- Barrels: Provide support for your back while encouraging deep, controlled back extension for improved posture and mobility.
No matter your experience level or goals, we have something for you here at Pilates on the Avenue. Join us and discover why Pilates is a method that not only transforms your body but enhances your entire life.
